Slow Down Email is the greeting card of the new millennium. Its is a great way to keep in touch with people you don’t get to see very often – to let them know you’re thinking of them, to update them on your life, learn more about theirs and much more. The speed and convenience of email as well as its easy accessibility almost makes it easy to forget to stop and “smell” the animated e-card roses. Take some time to put thought into the words that you write and make it become an experience your loved one can savor. 2. Bridge the Gap A “romantic email” may seem like an oxymoron; however, as with anything else in life, what’s worth doing is worth doing well. So an email isn’t exactly a serenade, but it doesn’t have to be. A boat is a great tool for getting around in the water, but if you’re really stuck, you’d do your best with an aluminum tub and a pair of flippers. The same goes for email. It has the disadvantage of being somewhat less special than a personal appearance, but you can use it whenever you want and from wherever you are to get a message to the person you love. Sometimes certain situations dictate that convenience trumps chivalry. 3. Fan the Flames If you are away from someone you love, you may decide that you want to express all the feelings inside of you in an email. If so, there are ways to make sure that everything you mean is understood by your intended. Keep the romance alive with an email that is a reflection of what you are really feeling. Keep them frequent. Be consistent. A phone call is dictated by time and money, a visit must work around schedules, but email is available at any time of day or night. 4. To Thine Own Self Be True When you want to write a romantic email to someone you love, be yourself. While you may feel like you don’t have anything important to say or like you don’t know how to say it in the best way, anything that you write from your heart will mean more than words that were written with someone else in mind. 5. Be Mine Sometimes certain situations arise in life that require two people who love each other to live apart, possibly very far apart. If want to write a romantic email to the person you love, don’t be afraid to ask for a pledge or an oath, sworn to your relationship. Don’t be afraid to give one of your own. Real romance is like a fine wine – the longer it lasts, the better it will be. There is not greater gift you can offer to someone you love than giving yourself. If you want to write an email that is truly romantic, you may have to go out in a limb a little bit and let yourself be vulnerable, offering up yourself as a gift to someone who will not only appreciate it, but also who will freely give the same in return.
