A. Why does a member not post a photo, but she promises to send me copies if I give her my real email address?

Usually that is a sign of a scammer. A scammers procedure is to

1. Get your Attention.

She does this in a variety of ways, usually by a nice photo, but when she does not publish a photo, then she will contacting you first with an email or say hi.

2. Capture your private contact information.

Spammers at HeartofAsiaOnline.com always get caught. If not caught at the application stage, then caught after they reveal themselves to the men they try to steal from.

She knows that if she captures your email address, she obtains a valuable asset. She can write you messages she would not dare to send using the HeartofAsiaOnline.com email system. And she can still continue to contact you drrectly, even after I catch her and drop her from HeartofAsiaOnline.com. Finally, after she has gotten as much money as she can from you, she will sell or share your email to other scammers, milking as much value as she can from her victom.

So to get back to the original question, Why does she offer to send you a photo via email?. Well, primarily as bait or lure to get your email address for the purposes described above.

Secondarily, as we have developed a rogues gallery of scammers, we may already know what she looks like. If she attaches her photo to her application, we would right away ban her.

Thirdly, some scammers like to send you beautiful stolen professional photos of models and starlets claiming that this is what they look like. Our staff is pretty wise to this, so again she avoids attaching the stolen photo to her profile knowing that we would identify her as a crook.

Advice for Singles : How to Write a Great Headline Part 1

When writing your own profile headline, it could help to begin by thinking of a newspaper headline. What grabs your attention about headlines in papers? Are effective headlines catchy? Does it announce news you must read immediately? Does it make you laugh? Does it make you wonder? Think about yourself. The headline for your online profile should follow many of the same rules as publishers follow when thinking of headlines.

Headlines are meant to grab a reader’s attention and to entice them to pick up a newspaper and want to read the story. The headline for your online profile should be the same. You don’t want to cram as much information as possible into the space. You want to put something in it that makes people want to learn more, about you.

Let your headline Reflect You.

Some common mistakes that people make when writing the headlines for their online profiles are: they provide too much information, not enough information or inaccurate information. If the headline for your online profile is going to be very effective, it must accurately reflect you. Therefore, it will help if you pick a focus. Do you want to play up on your interests, your demographic or your location? Picking a focus for your headline will help you decide which information to keep in and what you should keep out.

Think carefully about the focus of your headline, as it will usually determine what kind of people you attract. When browsing online profiles, people don’t typically want to waste a lot of time reading through endless paragraphs about your cats or your model airplane collection or your religious beliefs just to find a nugget of information that they might be interested in or compatible with. Therefore, most of the time, they will scan the headlines only. This is why you have to spend time really thinking about what you want to say about who you are – in about ten words or less.

You are not obligated to put every piece of information about yourself in a headline, in fact, you shouldn’t. Some things may be better left unsaid for the time being, such as, if you have children. This type of personal information can come later. Let your headline focus solely on who you are.
